I am sitting in church and trying with all my might to stay awake! To my relief the service ended and I manage not to fall asleep! As I walk out of church a tall man that appears to be in his 70's walks up, and starts talking to me.
He tells me that I am perfect, and that guys my age are insane for not marrying right away! I was surprised, and I had no idea how to respond to him! All I could say was okay, and that it was their loss. He then tells me that one day these boys will realise what they missed out on. "And if he were younger he would not let me go! He then tells me to have a nice day and he just walks away!
I honestly did not know what to do with his comments! He has an old fashion charm, and he reminds me of Cary Grant. He was not a creeper!! He didn't stare at my breast or make me feel like he was raping me in his mind! He was confident, well spoken, and very charming! If he were at least 30 years younger I might be tempted! Men between 18 and 40 neeed to take a clue from him!

I'm on my way back from family vacation and my grandma decided to join me. I'm not one to really be oh so social with anyone at the airport, let alone the people sitting next to me on the plane. I mean, planes are there for me to sleep on after a crazy vacation. Not to mention, I hate the middle seat in a 3 seat row, but of course, that's what my fate had dealt me. I was in the middle, my grandma is in the aisle seat, and an older man around the age of 50 is in the window seat. I'm thinking, this is fantastic. There's an older gentleman next to me, he won't bother me at all! Could I have been more wrong or what!
So I've got my headphones on and I'm ready to take off. There are some crazy drunk women in their 30's who so politely named me "IPOD Girl" due to the fact that I didn't seem so enthralled to talk with them. They were a row ahead but to the left, so I thought I was free to sleep. Next thing I know the man next to me asks me if I want a piece of gum. I kindly reject his offer, thinking he was just being polite. He then procedes to say something like "are you sure, I promise there is nothing wrong with them. I'm sure you've heard the don't take things from men speech, but blah blah blah." I rejected him again, this time with a little sass, stating that I already had a piece but thanks anyway. He then offers to buy me a drink, and I told him that I was underage. Then, he offers to buy me a soda, which caused my reaction to say that they are free and he goes onto say that he would still buy one for me anyway. By this time, I am a little creeped out, although I did admire his effort. He then continued to talk to me about where he was from, how I should give him a call so he can take me to all the great places in our town, and so on.
Although this was borderline perv, there was a sense of charm in him. He said the most clever things and knew exactly what to say. If I hadn't seen this type before, I would have certainly fallen for his ways. Moral of the story? At 50+, men know how to charm even the hard-headed teen I was at the time.

I like to call this kid Rockstar and I get the feeling that he will be the subject of many post!
Rockstar walks in and tells me that I am beautiful and that he couldn't walk past me and not tell me! Before he walks out the door he turns, and blows me a kiss.
What the hell! Is he trying to send me to jail! Man that would have been great coming from a guy born in the 1980's. But what can you do! Sure it may seem cheesy, but it was sweet and charming.

Before we start blogging about our endeavors, we thought we'd take the liberty in explaining exactly what we are doing here. The both of us have had several boys 18 and below who have known the exact things to say to us women, of course jail is something we don't plan on ever doing. We've also had men around the age of 40 and up say the right things as well. All the guys our age, ya forget about it. They are the worst "charmers" we have ever seen. No, scratch that, they aren't the worst charmers, they just aren't charmers at all. So when we were thinking about what to name our blog, we came up with phantom charm. Phantom as in an essence of illusion or something that isn't seen. Just like what we see between the ages of 18-40. They are Phantom's of charm because it's something you just can't see or something that really isn't there. So we will be talking a lot about different guys of various ages trying to hit on us, some who are chivalrous and some who have never even heard of the word. If you are interested, have fun with it! Leave us comments on what you've experienced as well!
